The fourteenth edition of the “Sector Meetings,” organized by TARMAKBİR since 2007, was held on January 29–February 1, 2026, in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with the participation of 125 attendees. Bringing together sector representatives, dealers, and public officials, the program comprehensively addressed access to finance, public support mechanisms, technology-driven transformation, fair competition, and sustainability.
On the first day of the program, institutionalization in family businesses, trade fair management, and financing were among the key topics. During sessions with public and financial sector representatives, agricultural loans, grant programs, and support schemes for agricultural mechanization were evaluated. Participants exchanged views on concrete steps to strengthen sector–public–finance cooperation.
On the second day, during the session on exports and sustainability, MAİB Vice Chair of the Board Sevda Kayhan Yılmaz delivered a speech titled “Success in Exports, Risk in Resilience,” where she assessed the impact of export growth on companies’ institutional resilience. Emphasizing the importance of risk management for sustainable growth, Yılmaz shared her insights and experiences on governance approaches that support long-term success in family businesses.
TARMAKBİR positioned the Sector Meetings as a strategic platform that reinforces the sector’s collective wisdom and lays the groundwork for concrete action, highlighting that the meeting will contribute to year-long cooperation and policy development efforts.
